Good evening, it’s very honorable today for me to catch up with Eric, co-founder of Skrumble Network (SKM), one of our main investment project. To show our honor, today we gonna to use English through all the interview with our colleague’s help about translations.

First, please let me introduce BlockVC. BlockVC is a leading blockchain investment and advisory firm. Our ecosystem investment strategy is guided by three themes: public blockchain, application protocols and financial services. Hello everyone, my name is Eric and I am co-founder of Skrumble Network. Thank you guys so much for having me here, and you know we wanna really to thank BlockVC, without them we won’t be able to be where we at right now.

OK, so let’s start the talk show.

With recent massive data crises, the need for secure data that is owned by users has never been stronger. Facebook recently has had 86 million accounts compromised, over 70 million Telegram accounts have had data leaked, and WhatsApp was hacked in January.

So, for the start question, I have to to ask Eric, my brother, as we know the key word of SKM is about solving the Data Crisis , so how does it work by using Blockchain technology?

最近數(shù)據(jù)泄漏危機(jī)事件頻繁，大眾對(duì)數(shù)據(jù)安全的需求變得更加強(qiáng)烈了。近期Facebook被曝出有八億六千萬(wàn)個(gè)賬戶存在安全問(wèn)題，超過(guò)7億個(gè)電報(bào)賬戶有數(shù)據(jù)泄漏的問(wèn)題出現(xiàn)，并且WhatsApp也在今年一月份遭受了黑客攻擊。

作為開(kāi)始的第一個(gè)問(wèn)題，我想問(wèn)我的朋友Eric，如我們所知道的那樣，SKM的關(guān)鍵詞是解決數(shù)據(jù)危機(jī)。因此，SKM是如何使用區(qū)塊鏈技術(shù)來(lái)解決這個(gè)問(wèn)題的?

Eric：

Ok, thank you Alan and Gloria! So let me answer that great question. As you know, blockchain is really quite the future of the world. According to the Deloitte, over 10% of the global GDP will be on blockchain by 2027. So blockchain is the new decentralized paradigm and is really taking over the world.

The problem is, if you look at current communication options, you look at different Apps that people are using, they are not built for the new decentralized world. In fact, they are all centralized. You don’t own your data.

In such a important time where billions of dollars at stake in this new decentralized world with cryptocurrency and secure data storage, there needs to be a better solution. We look at the over 5 trillion dollar communication market, really start to think about how could we make this better. So we started Skrumble Network. Skrumble Network is really the first truly decentralized communication ecosystem.

That’s full spectrum. What that means is that we have 3 core components to our project.The first component is our own communication centric blockchain. We believe that the next major phase of blockchain is not a one size that fits all situation, which means it should be vertical focused. Whether you are talking about communication or video games, whatever it should be really driven towards certain use case.

If I means send you some ETH. I’m gonna send you million bucks right now. It’s gonna take me 30 seconds to 1 minute to transfer. That’s ok. It’s not a big deal, you can wait. But if I wanna talk to you right now. We’d better connect within about 10 seconds.

So that kind of use cases are very important. So we also need to make sure it’s very secure and very easy to use. So that’s the first component which is the secure blockchain and all the authentication is done on the blockchain. And I am going to introduce some of the technical details in a minute.

The next component is our dapp, decentralized application. What that means? It’s kind of WeChat on the Blockchain. In that, you get all those communication tools you need and you are used to, and brought into decentralized world. So you will have full voice up to 50 people. Video, voice, chat, file sharing, messaging, we are adding in app cryptocurrency payments with multiple wallets. We are doing mini smart contracts. And guess what!

Skrumble Network is backed by a very strong company in Canada, called Skrumble. Skrumble owns 30 global pattens and one of those pattens for example is being licensed to Skrumble Foundation. Because the data is stored across the community and you actually own your own data.

And the third component of the project is actually a communication layer that links other project and other ecosystem and gives them community. So basically we bring communication that’s secure and simple to the blockchain world.

The way that we do it include 3 core components.

We have authentication and identification management on the blockchain. What that means? For example, how do you usually sign up for an App? Well, you have to give your phone number, your email address. For us what we do is that we use your public key and it work with bunch of different people. You want to have conversation with 3 friends, it creates a secret key that only you and them have access to. And there is no centralized server so you actually own your data. Then it goes into a true secure socket layer experiences.

With our own propitiatory P2P technology and then it has a rich media experiences voice, video, messaging, file sharing. We have all the data secure and sliced up over the community own nodes. Very secure. And guess what? It cant be blocked by firewalls. A bit of our timeline and roadmap, we have already launched our test version of our beta App, and wild-spread version will be available in late July.

So from there we are able to deliver our test-net. Our test-net will be available around September or October. And from there we will be able to get our Main-net ready around Q1 next year. And you gonna have all the true data secure. So it’s really gonna to be the revolution in communication.

第二個(gè)重要組成是我們的Dapp，一個(gè)去中心化的應(yīng)用。我們將打造區(qū)塊鏈上的微信，我們將所有您現(xiàn)在使用的通訊聊天工具放在區(qū)塊鏈上放在去中心化的世界里。我們將會(huì)把您的視頻，聲音，聊天，文件以及信息等放在帶有多個(gè)錢包的加密貨幣支付應(yīng)用里，這是一個(gè)迷你型的智能合約。

我們實(shí)現(xiàn)這一技術(shù)有三個(gè)重要組成部分。

第一，我們將認(rèn)證和識(shí)別管理放在了區(qū)塊鏈上。意思是說(shuō)，比如你通常是怎樣在APP上注冊(cè)的?是的，你需要提供你的電話號(hào)碼，郵件地址或者你的公民身份證。而在SKM，我們使用你的公鑰與他人互動(dòng)，比如你和三個(gè)人進(jìn)行對(duì)話，它將生成一個(gè)只有你和他們能夠有權(quán)限進(jìn)入的密鑰。第二，因?yàn)闆](méi)有中央服務(wù)器，所以你擁有自己的數(shù)據(jù)。第三，SKM將使用其特有的p2p (點(diǎn)對(duì)點(diǎn))技術(shù)打造富媒體流(包含信息，語(yǔ)言和視頻等)通訊體驗(yàn)。再值得一提的是，這個(gè)技術(shù)非常安全。

說(shuō)一點(diǎn)關(guān)于我們的時(shí)間節(jié)點(diǎn)和發(fā)展線路的信息，我們已經(jīng)開(kāi)發(fā)了app的測(cè)試版本，并將在七月底進(jìn)行大規(guī)模公測(cè)。從這里開(kāi)始，我們將會(huì)在今年9月完成我們的測(cè)試網(wǎng)絡(luò)，在明年的第一季度完成主網(wǎng)。

Ok, I really agree with it. Actually men confused about data leaks, we use apps and actually this area leaks our details of ID with our secret main data or birth or even what type of people you like.

That’s right Alan. You know people are starting to be very smart and educated about this topic. We heard from many people that the days of just having your information stored or leaked or anything like this that is not acceptable anymore. Because they don’t know what happened to their data and people really want their data to be secure.

Yes, I agree. I think we need time to make it more open or fit the fast moved rusher of Blockchain.

The second question: as I heard that we are going to have our MVP version soon , is that right? So what are the key features of Skrumble, how Skrumble Network incorporating real time communication into its blockchain?

That’s a great question Alan. So basically Skrumble Network and Dapp, for example, will enable realtime communication with anyone around the world. It can’t be blocked and you can do anything you want, similar to WeChat. However, you will also be able to do for voice, video, messaging, file sharing and in-app cryptocurrency payments. So we can do exactly this kind of broadcast without any limits on the amount of people in the group. We can have 15,000 people in the group. You can have realtime voice, video and broadcast and ready to go. People can literally sent cryptocurrency “HONG BAO” with different cryptocurrencies, thats just one example.

We can name it as global Wechat. Because global Wechat means everyone is truly connected and it’s really designed for the new digital blockchain world.

So the 3rd question is about just give a short about the background of Skrumble and also the team , and how we going to match those strong resources into the Skrumble blockchain version in the future. That’s really good for the SKM to the月球.

Thats a great question Alan! Skrumble is a company as you said has been around since 2014. It is co-founded by myself and David. We have a very strong team over 40 different people. We have 27 developers and tech experts. We also have 30 global pattens. We are developing 14 new ones for the blockchain. We also have extensive blockchain expertise on the team. We really have the ability to really deliver this. A lot of projects raise money first and hopefully hire a team and figure it out later. We already have the team and we are executing now with fast pace. The other thing that make us different, we are already in market, we already have success, and we already have many clients in the fortune 500, such as Hitachi.

OK thats great , I have strong confidence about its future. Well, as you can see now we are having a live on WeChat cross almost 50 groups with 15,000 people online , which we call china-style. Actually I found that it also an type of consensus, how do you think about Skrumble Network to establish consensus technically ?

譯：太棒了!我對(duì)Skrumble的未來(lái)更有信心了。您也知道，我們正在微信上實(shí)況直播加轉(zhuǎn)播近50個(gè)群，15000人在線，這就是我們所說(shuō)的中國(guó)風(fēng)。我發(fā)現(xiàn)它也是一種共識(shí)機(jī)制，您如何看待Skrumble在技術(shù)上達(dá)成共識(shí)?

Eric:

That’s a good question. For more details, please check out our white paper. Very simply, we use our own D-PBFT consensus algorithm. What that means? We are able to reach consensus in a very fast rate. It doesn't matter the amount of data, it’s more about the speed at which we reach it. The reason why we use this is because, as I mentioned to you before if I want to send you something on Ethereum, it’s ok to wait 1-2 mins. But like what we are doing right now on WeChat it suppose to connect very fast. So we have our own hyper solution. We have the ID management and secret key generation on the blockchain. All the communication is done in a hybrid way with the data stored across multiple community nodes. What we are doing right now to 50,000 people around world with full voice, video, messaging and the ability to send cryptocurrency “HONG BAO”, it cant be blocked by any country and truly it’s a communication revolution.

Ok, sounds exciting! Actually I and Eric and his wife got really good relationships and know each other for many years, its really honor to see the project running so fast and have it’s bright future. As I consider blockchain technology is most honors in the world , it must be the next generation of internet, and is likely to create trillion dollars of economic value globally over the next decades. In my opinion, the blockchain technology will be used in many industries including financial services, energy, supply chain, insurance, real estate, legal services and many others, its really lucky for us to jump in. I started to know about the blockchain since 2013 and it’s very encourage to jump in this new world and new industry. Just like Eric, me myself, the BlockVC, CoinMeet and also Skrumble and other lots of Dapps, we are trying to involve and put our energy into this blockchain industry. We wanna to make our power to relate to people and to make it a big and better future. So I believe that we all will have a free confidence and a remarkable future.

Ok, so the talk show is about 1 hour, we got the last question for Eric, your wish for the future of SKM and yourself, just talk about it.

Sure, the wish for Skrumble for the future is to actually change the world of communication. We went on a 15 city world tour as part of launching the Skrumble Network Project. We had a chance to speak around 30 events and meet a lot of amazing people. We went to several cities in China and talk to a lot of people. The chance is now. The time is now. As you said, there is so many new verticals and industries that going to be affected by the blockchain technology. However, every single one needs communication, no matter what industries you are in. Thats why the communication industries is 5 trillion dollars. Say for the financial industry, you can’t just say “hey, I am going to send you some ETH, and here you go, what’s your wallet address? ” . You have to talk. You have to negotiate. You have to discuss things and context is everything. Communication is global. It needs to be secure and it’s the true future of blockchain. That’s how we gonna change the world with Skrumble Network together.
